Library Architectural Tour
In partnership with Open House New York—an annual festival that celebrates design and architecture in the city’s five boroughs—the Frick Art Reference Library offers architectural tours of its thirteen story French Revival Building. Designed by famed architect John Russel Pope, the building was ahead of its time in 1934, featuring technology such as air conditioning and dumb waiters. Tours are one hour long and are free, but operate on a first-come, first-serve basis with a maximum of ten guests per tour.
