This lesson looks at current U.S. policy towards Cuba and examines the question of whether or not the economic embargo on Cuba should be lifted. This lesson can be adapted for 1 to 2 class periods to teach the content and discuss lesson issues; however, students will need additional time to conduct research and write position papers. Time frames are flexible depending upon teacher priorities for the lesson.
