In this lesson students will explore the cultural history of the island nation of Cuba. In light of President Obama's announcement that the two countries plan to re-establish diplomatic relations, students will look into the two countries past and try to predict what might change with the new announcement. Students will take a journey into Cuba, compare it with their hometown and plan an imaginary trip to Cuba where they will explore some of the famous sites the country has to offer.
