Washington County is a long narrow county located in the northeastern section of the State.  It is known for its rich valley farm land and is part of the Great Appalachian Valley.  Washington County is part of the Glens Falls, NY Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Albany-Schenectady, NY Combined Statistical Area.
