Brief Description of the county
Broome County is part of the Binghamton, NY Metroploitan Statistical Area. It is located in the couth-central New York, directly north of the border with Pennsylvania in a section of the state called the Southern Tier.
The Broome County Public Library opened in October 1904 and to this day it is dedicated to ensuring that every resident has access to the information and knowledge needed to prosper in their professions, businesses, schools and homes.
The library offers many resources to the community such as ESL classes and exam preperation classes. They seek to enhance the lives of people in the community.
