Hudson River Journeys

Len Tantillo, an architectural designer, delivered a captivating speech at last month’s Uncommon Approaches to the Common Core Conference 2015. In a documentary mentioned in the keynote speech called “Hudson River Journeys,” Tantillo and folk singer Pete Seeger explore the beauty of “America’s first river,” adding an aesthetic element to the river that that is most well-known by many for its pollution. Through Tantillo’s detailed paintings and the paintings of 19th-century Hudson River School painters, the river’s history and splendor come alive with stunning visions spanning centuries and seasons.
